围棋百科辞典》是昭和40年（1965年）“综合围棋讲座”中的一本。“综合围棋讲座”本体共十卷，《围棋百科辞典〉是作为“别卷”在列的。其他的十卷都是当时鼎鼎大名的职业棋手所著，只有林裕是以棋道编辑长身份参与的。
围棋百科辞典587页，厚厚的一大本包括了围棋知识的方方面面，是一本工具书。当然，其内容绝对以日本围棋为主，在那个年代，中国和韩国的围棋在日本棋人眼中，可进入辞典的东西还是太少。比如其中的人名辞典部分，中国当代的棋手完全寻不见踪迹，收录其中的全是古人。
以上是天地间对本书的简介，我个人认为本书除了五十局名局简介之外，其他内容基本没有学习价值，都是一些围棋资料。
