那个不是用变速齿轮搞的，是利用winsock向服务器端发了一个封包，欺骗服务器得到的结果。难度比变速齿轮大，不过这种程度还算不上黑客。玩网络游戏比较早的人应该知道的（现在玩网络游戏的人就只会用别人做好的外挂了）。
变速齿轮是没有办法改对手时间的。因为对局时间是在对局者本机上记数，变速齿轮就是改变本机的时间记数，而不是向服务器发送错误的封包。

On IGS, if someone disconnects, then his opponent will win the game if the game
is not played again within 15 days.  The result is the one who disconnected lose
by resign. So, if someone escapes, it doesn't matter.  You only need to wait for
some days.

By the way, could 变速齿轮 be used on IGS?  The timer should be kept on the
server, isn't it?

yes, for IGS/NNGS/KGS system, timer is set and kept by server.
